Afro-Brazilian Fitness is a culturally-rooted dance and fitness program that draws on the rhythms and movement traditions of the African diaspora, with a special focus on Afro-Brazilian forms. Designed for participants of all ages and abilities, this program blends traditional and contemporary Afro-Brazilian dance with modern fitness methodologies to promote holistic health and cultural connection.
Each session integrates structured warm-ups, isolations, and progressively challenging sequences that enhance strength, coordination, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. The curriculum is intentionally crafted to be accessible to beginners while still engaging for experienced movers, offering both muscle toning and aerobic benefits.

Senior Dance offers senior adults a weekly opportunity to reconnect with their bodies, breath, and sense of movement through a dance class designed specifically to support healthy aging. Each session focuses on improving flexibility, balance, mobility, and fluidity – critical components for maintaining independence, preventing falls, and enhancing overall quality of life.
A key feature of this program is live musical accompaniment by a percussionist playing the djembe. The live drumming deepens participants’ connection to rhythm and enhances the overall experience, providing both an energetic foundation and an uplifting atmosphere that encourages engagement and expression.
